From the Pastor: The Vision from Heaven

In life we always have a vision of something before it actually becomes real to us. Similarly, it is when it comes to understanding good Sheppard’s heart, our Lord Jesus Christ. It is from His heart beat that I under-Sheppard function and operates. The Pastor’s heart for missions is based on the vision from heaven, the great commission. Every God-given vision will become real if we have the patience to wait for it.

The vision that God gives is attainable only when we depend upon the blessed Holy Spirit guidance. Paul's understanding and commitment to the vision from heaven, the great commission, led him to become one of the greatest missionaries in history by the grace of God. The question we need to ask ourselves is how did he do it or what was the captivating force behind his success?
Firm understanding and commitment to the vision from heaven will at least produce five verifiable conducts in any believer’s life.

1. Heavenly vision always helps us to see ourselves in the light of God's purpose for our lives. Without the vision we see things not as they are but as we are. – Acts 26:12-22

2. Heavenly vision helps us to put others first. We begin to feel compelled to act for lost souls. – Acts 26:16-18

3. Heavenly vision comes with divine enablement. Our weakness is exchanged for His strength. – Acts 26:20-23

4. Heavenly vision gives conviction to stand, confidence to speak, and compassion to share the gospel – Acts 26: 24-29

5. The obedience to the heavenly vision motivates one to act and be fulfilled. – Acts 26:19
